I cannot believe we have officially entered Spring of 2018. Where does the time go?? I took a little break from posting about what I’ve been up to, my business with Beautycounter, and all the yummy things I’ve been eating. Although, I have been absent from my Lively posts, my life has been far from Lively. In the past 5 months there have been some sad times, fun times, and exciting changes that have taken place for me, isn’t that always how life seems to go? You barely blink and all of the sudden time has flown by and your life has gone through so many new stages. Although life isn’t always easy, I believe these transitional stages, good or bad, give the space and nudge to grow and learn. Spring is a great time to reflect on the changes winter brought into your life, decide how you can learn and grow from those changes, and bloom with them in the new season. I’m here to say that I am back! I am going to try to be here consistently to share my foodie love, beauty love, and love for a lively life! Here’s a quick catch up on what has been going on since I have been away.
F.O.O.D.I.E. My food obsession is still in full effect and I don’t expect that to ever go away. My boyfriend seems to judge me just a bit when I tell him that food is my favorite hobby. Packing our house in one month really put a damper on my cooking game. We spent most of January picking up food, fitting in our favorite restaurants, and snacking in between taping boxes. I love to have food prepped for the week, create new recipes, and spend time in the kitchen, so this transition has been a bit tough. We get into our new house with a b-e-a-u-tiful kitchen next week, and I cannot wait! I tried to eat as healthy as I could throughout our move but it was a bit challenging at times. We did the best we could but definitely resorted to frozen Amy’s meals and Mod Market here and there. We have been staying with my sister for the past month and so my sister’s and I have finally been able to have some cooking days together. We made a big batch of one of our favorite recipes last weekend and froze 30 meals. This GF Honey Chinese Chicken is sooo much better than take out http://whitneybond.com/gluten-free-chinese-honey-chicken/ This will come in handy during the last leg of our move… and now to unpack. I have also been taking advantage of my sister’s ice cream machine and made some cinnamon chocolate ice cream… yum!
On the Move. Our family of four (my boyfriend and our two fur babies) have moved! We have been exploring the opportunity for a new adventure for a few years now and things finally fell into place over Christmas. We both had been in Colorado for most of our lives and although we are proud to rep our native roots, we were ready to explore some new mountains. A job opportunity arose in Park City, UT the week of Christmas and we had packed up, sold our house, and said see you soon to our friends by mid February. Lets just say it was a busy winter, which is why I am finally getting to srite this on the second official day of Spring.
Beauty. Although we left Colorado, the dry, cold, mountain air is still a very real thing. Luckily, this year, my face never started drying out and flaking off – I owe this to having an actual skin care routine ever since I discovered Beautycounter. Even through our busy, crazy, sleeping in our living room on a mattress move, I kept my skincare routine on lock down. I ordered the Countermatch set when it was first released back in October. This came with the original day cream, night cream, eye cream, and a serum. I have been using these products along with the rose water mist, my favorite charcoal bar, and a mask here and there, and my face has stayed perfectly hydrated all winter long. Since this line uses technology to adapt to your unique skin needs and keep your skin perfectly hydrated, not too dry, not too oily, I am excited to
